‘CRIMSON QUEEN’

A small, slow-growing, red weeping Japanese maple with a short and wide mounding form. One of the most popular lace-leaf Japanese maples available. The foliage is brick-red throughout the summer turning bright red in the fall. Prefers sun/partial shade. May burn in the hot afternoon sun. Averages 3 feet tall and 5 feet in width in 10 years.

‘GARNET’

This classic weeping Japanese maple has finely divided leaves and grows into a broad, cascading form. Of all the colored-leaf Japanese maples available, ‘Garnet’ is the most spectacular. The laceleaf foliage is a dark red interspersed with touches of emerald green. Bright red new growth during the summer overlaying the darker red leaves is stunning. Then in fall, they turn an amazing deep red just like the garnet gemstone. ‘Garnet’ is easy to grow and sun tolerant. Averages 5 feet in height and 6 feet in width in 10 years.

‘INABA SHIDARE’

‘Inaba shidare’ is a medium-sized weeping, red lace-leaf Japanese maple with an cascading form. A vigorous grower, the lacy leaves are a deep reddish-purple and retain their color throughout the season. Fall color is a bright red. ‘Inaba shidare’ is a vigorous grower and does well in full sun. Averages 5 feet in height and 6 feet in width in 10 years.

‘ORANGEOLA’

‘Orangeola’ has a beautiful cascading growth form. Its weeping branches bear leaves that have shades of orange, red, and green. Fall color is bright tones of orange-red. The crème-de-la-crème of the many weeping varieties. A vigorous grower. Averages 4 feet in height and 5 feet in width in 10 years.

‘RED DRAGON’

‘Red Dragon’ is a very hardy, weeping red Japanese maple with cascading branches. Leaf color is a deep maroon-red that remains strong throughout the summer and turns bright red in the fall. ‘Red Dragon’ will do well in full sun locations. A good choice for container gardening. Averages 5 feet in height and 5 feet in width in 10 years.

‘TAMUKEYAMA’

‘Tamukeyama’ is one of the older Japanese maple cultivars. This broad, weeping red laceleaf is a vigorous grower and very hardy. It is very sun tolerant. The spring foliage is a deep burgundy transitioning to burgundy-purple as the summer unfolds. Its fall color is a bright scarlet. ‘Tamuke yama’ has stood the test of time and will add beauty to any location. The cascading form averages 6 feet in height and 6 feet in width in 10 years.
